The Operations Manager- Franchise, will oversee all operational aspects of our franchise retail channel.  Currently we operate between 100-120 locations nationwide. This role will have overall responsibility for the operations of the franchise program. 

This role will report to the Sr. Director of Franchise Sales and Operations.  Daily communication on all aspects of the business is important to ensure everyone on the team is informed of the status of key initiatives.  You will also communicate regularly with the product teams in order to prepare for the addition and removal of products in our system. Regular communication with all members of the franchise team will be key to success in this role.

The Franchise Operations Manager will have responsibility in the following areas:

Business Management

  • Point of sale system rollout, implementation, and ongoing management of our relationship with our POS vendor
  • Product forecasting- Weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually
  • Pricing determinations and adjustments program wide related to our franchise business
  • Marketing coordination/planning/implementation- you will work with the marketing team to ensure that promotions, product launches, merchandising information, etc. is communicated to the field
  • Management of our single corporate retail location (located across the street from our HQ)
  • Management of inventory through our corporate ordering systems
  • Communication: create agendas and help run bi-weekly conference calls keeping franchisees informed of product changes, promotions, sales results, etc.
  • Communication: emails regarding program initiatives, follow up on open items, program updates, etc.
  • Implementation of new product launches in coordination with the franchise field leadership team
  • Assisting in brainstorm of new incentive plans for franchise owners
  • Warranty return approvals in conjunction with our ZAGG returns team
  • Debit/Credit Entries in B2B or GP
  • Knowledge of ZAGG's product costs (and using that for business modeling)
  • On Demand troubleshooting
  • Preparing for business reviews with franchisees
  • Budget reviews and preparation
  • Revenue Forecasting by location and program wide
  • Reporting based on key initiatives- custom reports often needed for senior leadership

Operations:

  • Build rapport with and provide training and education to franchise owners
  • Ensure smooth onboarding, expansion and transfer processes for franchise owners
  • Leverage ZAGG's POS systems to drive sell-through campaigns
  • Protect ZAGG's brand via operational excellence reviews. Report issues during reviews in a manner that is consistent with departmental standards. Identify and manage pre-default stores until they are in full compliance.
  • Short and long term business plan development
  • Keep current with administrative duties and submit required reports in a timely fashion (time management, contact management, expense reports, 1:1 agendas, updates, etc.).
  • Participate in all company functions/events as required by Sr. Director, Franchise (franchise meetings, department meetings, conventions, etc.)

Leadership:

  • Build rapport with and provide training and education to franchise owners
  • Ensure smooth onboarding, expansion and transfer processes for franchise owners

To be successful the Operations Manager- Franchise, will have the following skills, qualifications and education:

  • 10+ years of operations experience in a similar role
  • Multi-unit operational leadership experience preferred
  • Proven record of relationship management, sales training, and operational excellence
  • Must be a strong, results driven leader with accountability for results in assigned territory
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Outstanding organizational skills and ability to manage all documentation relating to a franchise system
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles
  • Operates with integrity and lives the ZAGG values
  • Microsoft Excel modeling skills, both comprehensive, integrated spreadsheets and ad-hoc analyses. Also, Microsoft PowerPoint skills for internal and external presentations.
