The Sr. Product Manager will be responsible for helping define mophie's product strategy and will manage the end-to-end launch of mophie's products. This role offers hands-on responsibility for creating and bringing to market, products that meet quality, revenue and ROI targets, working in conjunction with our Sales, Marketing and Development teams.

About the Job

  • Define the product strategy and roadmap
  • Define product requirements, Deliver PRDs with prioritized features and corresponding justification
  • Direct and manage product lifecycles from beginning to end
  • Research and analyze market conditions
  • Identify key competitor and consumer trends; be the company expert with regards to competition
  • Articulate market requirements and opportunities
  • Identify opportunities for product innovation and product enhancements
  • Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
  • Develop full-scale product plans and associated communications documents
  • Work with the marketing communication team to define go-to market strategy, helping them understand product positioning, key benefits and target customer
  • Serve as the internal and external evangelist for product category
  • Lead cross-functional project team from product concept through final product definition
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
  • Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis
  • Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary
  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team
  • Track project milestones and deliverables
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations
  • Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project
  • Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work
  • Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise direct reports (PCMs) as assigned
  • Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements
  • Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management
  • Perform other duties as assigned

About You

  • Must be technically competent with MS Office software
  • Successful working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential
  • Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities, and flexible during times of change
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including communication with team members, the executive team and other internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to read and react to different audiences, and adjust communication style effectively
  • Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in the field of Business/Marketing or Engineering
  • 8-10 years of direct work experience in product management for consumer products required, consumer electronics a plus
  • Experience developing products for iPhone and other iOS devices a plus.
  • Overtime may be required to meet project deadlines
  • Physically able to participate in training sessions, presentations, and meetings
  • Some travel may be required for the purpose of meeting with channel partners retail accounts, or off-site personnel/management
  • Up to 20% travel may be required
